”Nowhere Special”, which had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, is a tender story about a life that is coming to an end, and another that has just begun. The film asks the impossible question: how do you deal with your incurable disease and your inevitable death when you are also a single parent? This is what director Uberto Pasolini explores in his intimate drama in which 35-year-old John, who has only months left to live, desperately tries to find adoptive parents for his son Michael, who is only four years old. ”Nowhere Special” grabs us from the first scene and does not let go.
In connection with the film, a conversation with the director will be shown at the screening on 16 November.
