Carte da forno is the second Waste collection, a project that Chiara Capellini developed in cities and countries around the world. More than 300 parchments were selected and collected in the Italian bakeries of cities of more than 200.000 inhabitatns (Roma, Milano, Napoli, Bari, Catania, Messina, Venezia, Firenze, Bologna, Padova). The baking parchment is a waste material that has been recently used by bakers in cities to increase the production, Each paper is different from the other, a shroud of bread and sweets which were baked in the oven, even more than time. Each region in Italy has its own bread shapes and every shape potrays a local tradition. Waste Collection II pays homage to the Italian creativivty, provoking the consumerist system as well, a system which is contributing to the diffusion of a more and more widespread vice: greedness. An extreme amount of bread, refined flour and sugar are simply destroying the concept of value and meaning of the word feeding. The installation aims at recreating in the observer that sense of fullness and quantity.www.chiaracapellini.cominstagram: chiara_capelliniinfo@chiaracapellini.com
