Insläpp till konsertsalen fram till kl 19.00PAOLA BIONDI and DEBORA BRUNIALTI studied in Genova with Lidia Arcuri, where they began playing together during their first years at the Conservatory. Decisive moments in their education were meeting and studying with Alfons Kontarsky at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, with Dario de Rosa and Maureen Jones at the Fiesole Music School and with Katia Labeque at the Chigiana Academy in Siena. They have played for the most important festivals as well as national and international associations, with tournées all over the world; of particular interest is their début at the Sydney Conservatory and successively in the famous Rachmaninoff Hall of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. Their repertoire ranges from classical and romantic music to twentieth century and contemporary composers. They have had the privilege of collaborating with H. Dufourt who dedicated to them ‘Soleil de Proie’, first performed at the Palazzina Liberty in Milan for Musica e Realtà. Azio Corghi composed for them ‘It’s bis’, which was performed live on Euroradio from the Paolina Chapel in Rome for the the Quirinale Concerts. They continued to work with Azio Corghi, together with the actor Bustric (Sergio Bini) and Maurizio Ben Omar’s Naqqara Percussion Ensemble, on the show ‘Un petit train de plaisir’, which opened at the Chigiana Academy in Siena, followed by a tournée organised by Cidim in South America and Albania, as well as opening for the Spontini Pergolesi Festival. They went on to create various music festivals integrating theatre, dance and poetry. This led to the birth of ‘Nuvolo e Musica’ (‘Cloud and Music’) , included in the Parco della Musica season in Rome, ‘Varietè degli animali’ for the Gog (Youth Orchestra) in Genova, and ‘L’Origine du monde’, based on poems by Alda Merini, for the Mediterranean Festival. A meeting with Giorgio Gaslini led to the creation of ‘Peintres au cafè-sonnant’, which was performed together with Maurizio Ben Omar (on percussion) at the Casa del Jazz in Rome and at the Spazio Thetis for the 52nd /Fifty-second International Art Show in Venice, as part of the Joseph Beuys exhibition. Once more in collaboration with Giorgio Gaslini they presented ‘Ritual’ at the Festival Mito in Milan and at the same time recorded a video directed by Francesco Leprino. They have also recorded for the RAI (Italian Radio), performing both in festivals (Cervia in Festival) and live (Radio 3, The Quirinale Concerts). More recently, they recorded the Concert for Two Pianofortes and Orchestra by F. Poulenc with the Italian Swiss Radio Orchestra directed by Tito Ceccherini and published by the Amadeus Music Review, and ‘Soleil de proie’ by Hugues Dufourt with the Suono Sonda music review. They have recorded pieces by Kurtag, Ligeti and Berio, receiving recognition from the most prestigious music reviews (Diapason, Le Monde de la Musique).
