Simona Severini with Fedra Trio in concert

500 years moving across the history of music, embracing airs from Monteverdi to Lucio Dalla, from Duke Ellington to Nick Drake, all revisited through the interpretation of the Italian Fedra Trio.

Fedra Trio, formed by Simona Severini (guitar and voice), Daniele Richiedei (violin and viola) and Giulio Corini (double bass), presents a repertoire that spans between jazz and ancient music, alternating moments of improvisation, arias and minimal arrangements. The three musicians will also offer few songs composed by Severini herself, being her a refined interpreter along with a singer-songwriter.

Born in Milan, Simona Severini starts her carreer in the field of jazz. She participates in many festivals including Umbria Jazz, Paris Jazz Vocal, Spoleto Festival dei due Mondi, London Jazz Festival, XJazz! in Berlin, JazzMI at the Milan Triennale. With Fedra Trio, Simona Severini performed at the Cappella Paolina del Quirinale, live on RAI Radio Tre, and in classical music festivals including the Brescia Opera Festival and the Trento Philharmonic. She made her debut in 2017 at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan as Miranda in a concert-performance dedicated to Shakespeare’s ”The Tempest” directed by Massimo Navone and participated in the show ”Waiting for Judgment” directed by Roberto Andò on stage at the Maschio Angioino for the Napoli Teatro Festival. In 2016, for the anniversary of the birth of Lucio Dalla, she published ”Futura / il Coyote”, an EP containing two songs recorded in Bologna at the studio Dalla. The same year, she was finalist at Musicultura. In 2019, on the occasion of the ”Women’s Day” she sings at the Quirinale, in front of the President of the Italian Republic.

In 2020, she released ”Ipotesi”, her first solo EP and in 2022 she joined Virgin Records which presenting her latest single “Non faccio niente”.
