Our calendar begins on Deceber 1st with the presentation of SKAM Italia, a highly successful adaptation of the Norwegian series of the same name, on the occasion of the release of the fifth season. Also participating is Michele Colombo, professor of Italian Linguistics at Stockholm University, who will give a talk on the development of juvenile language in Italy.

On Dec. 7, on the occasion of the exhibition ”The Drawings of Giorgio Vasari – a Mythical Collection”, the Italian Cultural Institute, in collaboration with the Swedish National Museum, invited two experts on the subject to Stockholm: professor Marco Ruffini, professor of Art History and Criticism at La Sapienza University in Rome, and Eliana Carrara, associate professor at the University of Genoa, where she teaches History of Art Criticism. The lecture, at 3:30 p.m., is in English and is held at the National Museum.

On Dec. 10, as part of the European Film Festival, an initiative organized by EUNIC Stockholm, dedicated to the promotion of European auteur cinema, we present ”Ariaferma” (The Inner Cage) by Leonardo Di Costanzo, at 6 p.m. at Cinema Zita.

On Dec. 15, at 6 p.m., for the traditional Christmas concert, we propose this year a ”Festa Scarlattiana”, with a program entirely dedicated to the father of the Neapolitan School, Alessandro Scarlatti, and his son Domenico. Performing in the Institute’s auditorium, is the ensemble Festa Rustica, composed of Rita Alloggia (soprano), Claudio Andriani (violin), Daniele Lorefice (cello), Walter Mammarella (harpsichord) and with the direction of maestro Giorgio Matteoli (flute).

Our program ends on Dec. 19 with the second screening of the cycle ”New Italian Cinema. Young female directors in the Biennale College Cinema project.” At 6 p.m., at Cinema Zita, we will see ”La tana”, a debut feature by Beatrice Baldacci.

And then… BUON NATALE!
